Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate Program

Accreditation and Continuing Education

The International Hearing Society is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Tier 1 Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of 1.6 CEUs. Academy approval of this continuing education activity is based on course content only and does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedure, or adherence of the event to the Academy's Code of Ethics. Any views that are presented are those of the presenter/CE provider and not necessarily of the American Academy of Audiology.

The Association of Hearing Instruments Practitioners (AHIP) of Ontario has approved the course for 6 continuing education hours.

The course is approved for 16 hours of continuing education credit by the International Hearing Society.

This program is also approved by the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia, the College of Hearing Aid Practitioners of Alberta (CHAPA) for continuing education credit.

This program is NOT approved for hearing aid specialist continuing education credit by California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.


Accreditation

On July 3, 2018, the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) granted accreditation to the International Hearing Society and the Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate Program for demonstrating compliance with ICE 1100 – Standard for Assessment-Based Certificate Programs.

ICE is the leading international organization setting quality standards for credentialing. Participants and certificate holders demonstrate their continued commitment to quality practice, patient/client safety, and continuing education by completing an accredited program.
